We were inspired by Alan Peat to write Emotion, comma sentences using Google forms, Tagxedo and Padlet.

As an early morning task, the children were asked to use a QR code to access a Google forms doc via their iPad and submit 10 emotion words. The form can be accessed here:

When all the children had responded the response form was pasted into Tagxedo, to create a word cloud. Which was shared with all.

Using an emotion word as the starting point, the children then followed Alan Peat’s idea for writing an ‘Emotion, comma’ sentence. After trying a few out using their whiteboards, the children refined their best efforts before adding them to our Padlet wall (accessed again using a QR code).
