We created a GPIO Christmas tree, ready to code with Python on the Raspberry Pi

Wonderfully led by our coding enthusiast, Mr Sone, Clanfield’s Code Cub is beginning to develop their programming in some fascinating ways. After finding GPIO Christmas trees as a Kickstarter project, developed by ‘Pocketmoneytronics’, Mr Sone bought six for the children to construct. Using 7 LEDs and 4 resistors and a hot soldering iron, the children built their trees ready for programming with Python. Mr Sone demonstrated his home built GPIO Christmas tree when he plugged it into Carl’s Raspberry Pi, demonstrating the capabilities of this wonderful festive project.
