We experimented with Thinglink at Code club

Today we had a brief dabble with a wonderful app called ‘Thinglink’, app-smashing it with PicCollage, to share the children’s ‘Hour of Code’ session.

First we used PicCollage to arrange a set of images of the children at work coding (using Scratch or Python) before saving the image and importing it into Thinglink. Then by tapping areas on the image (open in the app), we were are able to add text and/or media. The children chose to share short video clips, explaining what they were doing during their Hour of Code. We created two separate Thinglinks one for the children using Python on the Raspberry Pis, the other for the group coding in Scratch.

Highly recommend using Thinglink, an app we will return to very soon.

Unfortunately unable to embed Thinglink to wordpress site, please follow link from image.
