After soldering three GPIO Christmas trees (using a Kickstarter project, developed by ‘Pocketmoneytronics’) in a previous session, our Code Clubbers were ready to begin programming them in Python. Pocketmoneytronics had previously posted the Code for the GPIO trees on their blog, which is readily downloadable for use. The children opened up several examples before hacking it and making it their own. Unfortunately due to the excitement, we have only created a very basic thinglink, interactive picture, to share the trees capabilities. Thank you Pocketmoneytronics I am sure we will be visiting you again.
If we get chance before the end of term, then we will add to this post, otherwise have a Happy (tech-filled) Christmas.
